A special tour of three provocative gallery exhibitions on view in Chelsea.
- 4 p.m., David Zwirner Gallery, 519 West 19th Street
Doug Wheeler’s first “Infinity Environment” installation in New York, a cavernous light and space project featured in The New York Times
- 5 p.m., Gagosian Gallery, 522 West 21st Street
Damien Hirst’s Complete Spot Paintings, 1986–2011, part of a worldwide exhibition in which the artist’s signature dotted canvases are being shown simultaneously in all eleven Gagosian spaces
- 5:30 p.m., Gladstone Gallery, 515 West 24th Street
Shirin Neshat’s The Book of Kings, a photographic series and video installation inspired by the recent uprisings in the Arab world
Representatives from the respective galleries gave guided tours through each exhibition.
