100th Anniversary Gala

The American Federation of Arts (AFA) marked its 100th year as a pioneering organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and appreciation of art in this country with a black-tie gala celebration on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.
During the evening, there was a viewing of a short commemorative video featuring artist Lorna Simpson, Metropolitan Museum of Art Director Thomas P. Campbell, and Brooklyn Museum Director Arnold L. Lehman, among others; a raffle drawing of a print by Maira Kalman and a drawing by Wolfgang Laib; and dancing and cocktails. The dinner was catered by the Metropolitan Club.
