Art critic Roberta Smith began writing for The New York Times in 1986. Over the years, her reviews and articles have appeared in a broad range of publications, including Artforum, Art in America, Arts Magazine, and the Village Voice. Ms. Smith received art criticism grants from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1975 and 1980 and, in 2003, was honored with the prestigious College Art Association’s Frank Jewett Mather Award for Art Criticism. |
